The best explanation as to why hiring a Private Investigator is worth it.

Many people who come to us as clients have never hired a Private Investigator before and ask themselves if it is worth it. What are the reasons to hire a Private Investigator? In this blog, I will discuss why the answer is most definitely "yes" and why hiring a Private Investigator is a wise choice.

In the same way you would hire a professional accountant or seek legal advice from a qualified attorney, you should hire a Private Investigator based on the fact that they have a skill set, knowledge base, experience (and technology) at their disposal, just like any other professional.

A Private Investigator is trained to undertake research, carry out surveillance, collect data, understand the relevant law, has the know-how as to how an investigation should be run, training on covert operations, has experience in deep research, has access to resources, will usually have a network of useful contacts to call upon and so on. It is not only the time of the Investigator that you are paying for, but the skills, resources, knowledge, experience, training and expertise that are going to bring to your case.

Couldn't I do it myself and save myself the money?

While it may seem that turning Super Sleuth is an attractive, money-saving option, this isn't advisable. There are a number of reasons for this. The first being that this comes from a misunderstanding as to what a Private Detective does and how they do it compared to what they actually do in reality. It's much harder than you think!

Surveillance training exists for a reason. Surveillance driving is dangerous and therefore should never be attempted by someone who has no experience. Surveillance driving should absolutely NEVER be undertaken by anyone without the appropriate training.

Private Investigators are trained in how to undertake surveillance covertly and safely.

Using a Private Investigator will also protect you from discovery. A Private Investigator will never disclose who their client is and in the highly unlikely event that they are discovered, they are experts in thinking on their feet and misdirection, thus keeping their client (and themselves) safe from exposure.

A Private Investigator also has knowledge of the law and will therefore gather evidence in a manner that can be used in court as well as conduct the surveillance/investigation appropriately.

Surveillance can be a very time-consuming undertaking if done properly, as it has to be maintained, without breaks often for long stretches of time. The level of concentration and focus needs to be maintained constantly and this alone is very challenging.

The chances of an untrained individual being caught while trying to undertake any kind of surveillance is very high. Attempting to record someone also runs a high risk of discovery if attempted by the individual, the consequences of which can be catastrophic and therefore, is much better left to a professional who can allow the target "to run" ie move around and feel confident in their environment. This offers a much higher chance of success and the Private Investigator will be right there to capture the evidence, using appropriate technology.

One of the reasons people use a Private Investigator is because they understand that even in this information age, not all information is easily found and digging it out is a skill.

Research is a key investigative skill area that Private Investigators use the most and therefore are extremely proficient in. We know how to think outside the box and are trained to think in a different way which opens up different avenues to us. We conduct research in relation to Due Diligence for business people as well as individuals for a variety of reasons. We use this skill set when locating people, collecting debt, conducting matrimonial investigations, the list is endless which is why we are so practiced in it and is also the reason that it is worth hiring a professional to do a thorough deep-dive through your case for you.

But what about the cost?

Yes, of course, hiring a professional to undertake your case is going to cost you money no matter what service sector arena that may be in, however, the investment is most definitely worth it considering that you are not just paying for the Private Detectives time but you are also gaining access to an extensive skill set obtained through training and experience, access to technology, expertise, and a unique knowledge base of resources and contacts. All of this is coupled with results obtained and presented in a manner mindful of the law.

Last but not least, we present, if necessary, a barrier between you and any target which can offer you plausible deniability if necessary.

Hiring a Private Investigator is worth it and should be viewed as an investment in your case. People come to us to use our services because their issue is important enough to them to seek out a professional to assist them and so if you want your issue to be resolved in the best way possible, it is worthwhile investing in it.
